Employee Appraisals Manager

In this view, you can see, manage and do quick performance rating searches on all employee’s appraisals.

PerformanceHub automatically creates an open Employee Appraisal for each employee for each review period. Objectives in the same review period are automatically linked to that appraisal.

If an employee is missing an appraisal for a review period, then PerformanceHub will automatically detect this and give you an option to add a missing appraisal via a button at the bottom of the screen. Employees can be missing an appraisal when taken off probation and HR Admin chose not to create one, but later decided that the employee should have one.

You can also reschedule individual appraisals. Read more about rescheduling.

A manager and their direct report can add comments and performance ratings to the appraisal at any time during the review period. Once both have finalised their comments and ratings the manager submits the appraisal to HR.

Appraisals are listed in a table like this one:

To keep things tidy, not all columns are show, but you can show them by ticking the column name next to “Show”

You can sort by column, by clicking on a column header.

Quick Tip:

You can sort on columns by clicking the column heading. If you want to sort on more than one column, then hold down the shift key when you click on the 2nd column you want to sort on.

The general search box will filter the table to show anything that matches your filter. For example, if you wanted to find anything to do with Hilary Smith, then type Hilary Smith onto the search box. The table will be filtered for all instances of Hilary (as a direct report, manager or 2nd line manager).

If you want to filter for key words in specific columns (e.g. you want to find all employees where their manager has rated them as Outstanding) then there are column filter boxes at the bottom of each column.

Appraisals marked as Complete in the Appraisals Manager tab are ready for you to check. If you are happy with the review then you can Close the appraisal to finish the process. A closed appraisal can be Re Opened by HR if required (note that if an appraisal is re-opened, then the manager and DR are informed by email).

If you may feel the review was unfair or may spot some inappropriate comments. If so, you can click the Reconsider button.

If an appraisal is no longer required, for example, the employee is on long term leave or started too soon so it’s too early to do an appraisal, you can Force-Close an appraisal by clicking the Force Close. More info on force closing here.

Note, when looking at an employee’s appraisal, you can also delete unwanted interim reviews. You will see a delete button against each interim that’s in an appraisal.
